Responsible to support all of the company’s Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) products, services, and solutions


  • Present and articulate the capabilities and values of the company’s full range of DAS offerings with potential customers.  Answer questions – basic to deep-dive technical, help sales guide the customer to the correct DAS solution.
  • Ability to perform detailed site surveys to support DAS designs, including signal level measurements, donor antenna locations, cable pathways, and building construction.
  • Develop detailed DAS designs using iBwave to be used for proposal generation and carrier engagement.
  • Develop preliminary estimates, Budgetary/ROM, and final quotations, Proposals, for delivery to potential customers.
  • Develop responses to customer RFIs, RFPs for delivery to customers.
  • Ability to interface with wireless service providers
  • Support assigned Black Box Sales Director(s) with their DAS project– typically in-person meetings with travel to customer sites, also online meetings.
  • Coordinate with Black Box Richardson & field personnel (sales, operations, finance, and administration) to execute responsibilities.


  • BS required (prefer BSEE) or Military Communications Education
  • Experience with a combination of direct technical responsibility for DAS engineering, and sales support engineering
  • Deep technical understanding of relevant DAS product manufacturers and configurations (Active, Passive, Hybrid), as well as input signal sources
  • Ability to determine the best technical solution for various market verticals and RF environments
  • Experience with iBWave RF design/planning tools and experience designing systems
  • Understanding of current wireless technologies including 3G (CDMA & UMTS) and 4G LTE
  • Ability to interface with customer’s IT organization, facilities, project mgt, as well as with major wireless carriers {AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile} regional engineering organizations
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • High level of proficiency with MS-Office {Word, Excel, PowerPoint}
  • Excellent Organizational skills
  • Understanding of DAS implementation and labor cost modeling
