Overview

Nationwide Cisco Gold and Master certified partner (UC, TelePresence, and Managed Services) have an immediate need for a talented Cisco Pre-sales UC Engineer. Must have strong technical and communication skills, be comfortable presenting to and interacting at all levels with clients, strong analytical and design experience will be used to contribute to the success of a dynamic organization. We are looking for individuals that possess strong business acumen; “a keenness and quickness in understanding and dealing with a business situation in a manner that is likely to lead to a positive outcome”.


This is a permanent position where you'll have the opportunity to be part of a talented team of Engineers who are passionate about delivering quality solutions to our regional clients. This is a pre-sales position that will require some local and minimal regional/national travel with the opportunity to work remotely from home when not in front of local clients. If you are currently a deployment engineer looking to transition into Sales Engineering you will also be strongly considered.

Responsibilities

As a Pre-Sales UC Engineer, your primary job responsibilities will focus on Cisco Unified Communications/Collaboration solutions – with a focus on pre-sales design, customer presentations, developing SOW, and assisting with services estimating.

 

  • Ability to provide presales support to the sales team during the duration of a sales campaign
  • Customer Requirement Gathering
  • Solution Creation
  • Network Visio Creation using MS Visio
  • Bill of Materials Creation using CCW and Netformx
  • Professional/Implementation Service Budget Creation
  • Statement of Work Creation
  • Customer Solution Presentation
  • Pre-Sales to Post-Sales Transition of Accounts
  • Develop Unified Communications strategies, architectures and implementation plans.
  • Perform network/voice readiness and current state telephony assessments.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and detailed design documentation to the Project Management Office
  • Provide quality assurance documentation review and peer review on projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Provide alternative third party solutions that work in conjunction with Cisco when needed (ESNA, Singlewire, E911, Call Recording, SMDR, Attendant Consoles)

Qualifications

  • Minimum achievement of CCNA, CCNA-V, Preferred achievement of CCNP, CCNP-Voice. Minimum 4 years experience deploying and/or designing, Cisco Unified Communications suite of products, devices, solutions, and technologies for small, medium, large and/or enterprises 
  • Strong design knowledge and practical of Cisco’s collaboration products and services: (Cisco Spark,CUCM,CUPS,CUC,CUBE,UCCX)
  • Experience with Cisco and third party quoting tools (Netformx & CCW)
  • Voice gateways (MGCP, H.323, SCCP)
  • Layer 2 & Layer 3 QOS
  • Cisco Routers / Switches
  • Experience in Layer 2 & Layer 3 technologies
  • VoIP protocols such as SIP, MGCP, SCCP, H.323, RTP/SRTP
  • Familiarity with UCS B/C series servers
  • Familiarity with Citrix and VMware
  • Familiar with Cisco ASA / Firewall
