The NACS Customer Site office of Black Box Network Services provides 24X7X365 managed service support for all telecommunication, network, and infrastructure within a large campus environment and throughout smaller campus locations.  The on-site office is dedicated to achieve operational efficiency and effectiveness through an established service management system following industry standard best practices, with customer satisfaction as our highest priority.

Utilizing structured and disciplined practices to ensure project coordination activities are consistent with company initiatives and expectations; the Cable Services team fulfills all project management activities from end to end design and delivery, while working collaboratively across all levels and departments within the organization, as well as, direct client contact to ensure successful completion of objectives in accordance with internal and external service level requirements.

Black Box Network Services has an opportunity for a Project Coordinator / Bid Estimator responsible for the coordination and successful completion of project deliverables for all levels of cable infrastructure projects.


  • Execute processes and methodologies in a consistent manner for project coordination activities including:
    • Planning, surveying, resourcing, scheduling and budgeting
    • Monitoring and coordinating project scopes, scheduling, costing, problem and resolution management, reporting, and stakeholder communication
  • Proposal development including, scope of work documentation
  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, identify problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or project delays, etc.
  • Direct and oversee the work of subcontract labor companies
  • Manage the delivery and execution of projects, meeting client satisfaction and SLA expectations.
  • Hands on installation of fiber optic and structured cabling.
  • Act as primary customer contact for assigned project activities; provide stakeholder communications for all project updates and escalations where necessary.
  • Foster collaborative working relationships throughout the organization.
  • Achieve performance targets established by leadership for applicable Key Performance Indicators.
  • Must be available for on-call scheduling.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


  • Minimum of (5) years of Infrastructure (inside and outside)/Cabling Project Coordination experience within the IT Service Industry
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or minimum of (5) years of documented experience in the installation/maintenance of telecommunication industry standards-based cabling distribution systems.  Familiar with and able to reference current ANSI/TIA/EIA Standards with UCR and NEC standards
  • Industry and manufacturer specific experience and/or certifications preferred (examples: Panduit, CommScope, Siemens, Corning, Leviton, Ortronics, AV, Fiber Optic, Paging, etc).
  • RCDD/TPM BICSI certification is a plus
  • Must be able to climb ladders, bend, access ceilings, manholes, closets, etc.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Project)
  • Class E Driver’s license required
  • Excellence in customer service
  • Upon offer of employment, candidate must be able to successfully complete a (10) year FBI Background Check
