Overview

This position oversees all warehousing, logistics and distribution activities in the Black Box Resale Center.  This role is for managing, organizing and leading assigned Team Members in an efficient manner to achieve company goals and exceed customer expectations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversees all warehousing, logistics and distribution activities. Ensures that assigned Team Members are performing functions in a safe, cost-effective and efficient manner.
  • Directly manages all assigned Team Members, providing necessary direction, oversight and coaching. Interviews and recommends applicants for hire when necessary. 
  • Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of assigned Team Members, ensuring their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials.
  • Monitors the movement, receiving, staging, and storage of all materials. Ensures that inventory records are accurate, and researches and resolves discrepancies.  Responsible for the accuracy of information and reporting of all distribution center activities.
  • Maintains an all warehouse and distribution equipment to ensure safe and effective operation.
  • Develops and recommends annual budget requirements for the distribution center. Prepares and plans for any fluctuations in business that will require changes to the workload demands for the distribution center and its staffing levels. 
  • Works with external customers, internal Team Members, or other stakeholders to resolve any concerns concerning the warehousing, distribution, or logistics activities.
  • Performs other functions as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in a distribution and/or warehouse environment, 3 years’ experience at a supervisory or managerial level.
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) required. Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • Must possess excellent problem solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and a customer service mentality. Must be able to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and working knowledge of ERP system use.
  • Experience in the technology/telecommunications sector is a plus.
  • Must possess strong communication skills, able to communicate with Team Members at all levels of the business.
