  • Overview

    Responsible for managing spend of Finished Goods purchased from EMS partners and ODM Suppliers, as well as supporting Component spend to support internally designed new product introductions (NPI) in the networking/electronics sector. Manages sourcing decisions,  supplier performance tracking, strategic planning, procurement and contract management.


    • Negotiate supply agreements to improve on-time-delivery and quality while minimizing cost and lead time.
    • Define global sourcing strategy and interface with teams around the world to execute sourcing objectives.
    • Provide subject matter expertise regarding commercial and technology trends, headwinds and mitigation.
    • Set-up and manage e-sourcing events.
    • Facilitate NPI between vendors and product management to ensure timely, cost effective product launches.
    • Engage with Engineering to conduct DFx during development to identify cost savings opportunities and alternates with greater availability.
    • Manage the hand-off of new product launch with the material planner to ensure the appropriate amount of inventory is on-hand and the right time.
    • Manage supplier selection and on-boarding to drive adherence to compliance standards.
    • Implement strategic sourcing best practices to maximize value in terms of cost savings/avoidance, demand management, risk reduction, and supplier performance.

    • Proven experience as a sourcing manager with strong negotiating skills
    • Strong project management and leadership skills
    • Experience managing a diverse global supplier base
    • Demonstrated success is driving cost reduction programs
    • Strong organizational skills to multi-task demanding priorities; effective use of resources to deliver results
    • Solid understanding and familiarity with industry technologies
    • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization
    • Ability to work effectively across many internal functional groups
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and ERP systems
    • Ability to travel up to 50%
    • International travel is required 

    Education/Experience Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related
    • 5-7 years of procurement experience with focus on strategic sourcing for at least 3 years.
    • Fluency in Chinese preferred
