    Black Box Network Services has an opening in our Amherst, VA office, for an experienced Project Administrator. In this integral role you will work closely with our team of Project Managers to help ensure all project deliverables, requirements and deadlines are met. Daily tasks include updating project schedules, tracking action-items status, maintaining risk registers and issue, and preparing meeting minutes and presentations


    Responsibilities of Project Administrator:

    • Track project deliverables under the direction of the Project Managers
    • Update, maintain and review project deliverables while maintaining revision control of deliverables as well as a electronic deliverable library
    • Maintain project schedules in MS Project
    • Attend and report on Project Meetings as required
    • Prepare meeting materials, including reports, presentations, and agendas
    • Take meeting minutes and distribute to all project team members
    • Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings
    • Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project
    • Disseminate project information to all stakeholders, including progress reports
    • Ensure project deadlines are met
    • Update and distribute multiple weekly reports as required
    • Ability to work on tight deadlines
    • Providing administrative support as needed
    • The successful applicant will be responsible for creating technical documents and manuals


    Qualifications for Project Administrator:

    • 2+ years' experience as a Project Administrator or similar role desired
    • Telephony or related field experience or experience working in a technical writing position is preferred
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - including Word, Excel, Project and Outlook
    • Excellent attention to detail, organized and methodical
    • Ability to quickly produce quality project meeting notes
    • Adept to organize large amounts of data, and deal effectively with repetitious work
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
    • Currently reside in, or willing to relocate to the Amherst, VA or surrounding area
    • Bachelor degree in business, engineering, or related field of study, a plus but not required
