  • Overview

    Position Summary:

    This position will provide functional and administrative support to the purchasing organization in support of the revenue and gross profit goals of the company.


    Job Responsibilities:


    • Understand and follow the purchasing team’s objectives and strategic programs that address those objectives.
    • Release purchase orders to vendors with established pricing for standard products and services.
    • Obtain pricing quotes from vendors for standard products and services.
    • Monitor completion/delivery of purchase orders.
    • Communicate with vendors for timely completion of purchase order commitments.
    • Work within procurement team to resolve vendor issues, to include but not limited to invoice, material delivery, and material receipt discrepancies.
    • Maintain purchasing records.
    • Perform additional tasks that may be required to support the procurement team.

    • Able to retrieve information and conduct research related to job responsibilities.
    • Able to think analytically.
    • Capable of establishing priorities and balancing multiple activities simultaneously.
    • Performs work under general supervision.
    • Handles basic issues and problems.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Organized and detail-oriented.
    • Able to build collaborative relationships.
    • Able to read, write and interpret various correspondence, memos, and instructions.
    • Understanding of basic mathematical concepts, such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
    • Proficient in basic to intermediate computer software programs, such as Microsoft Office.



    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • 3 or more years of experience in purchasing or equivalent administrative/support functions.


    Supervisory Responsibility:

    • This position has no supervisory responsibilities



    Physical Environment/Working Conditions:


    This work takes place in an office environment.
