  • Overview

    Purpose of the Job:
    Manages product content, taxonomy, and digital assets within the Product Information Management (PIM) system which feeds the Blackbox.com website. Also manages the data feeds within the Data Feed Management System (DFMS) and accuracy of content to our channel partners. Position will need to work across multiple departments, including but not limited to Product Managers, IT, Marketing, Sales, and Purchasing. Responsible for the quality and consistency of brand. This position will work to continually improve data content and structure, as well as, create and improve processes for the team.  


    Primarily Roles & Responsibilities

    • Manages all assets (images, documents, files) for products to ensure proper mappings, versioning and brand consistency
    • Maintains and optimizes Blackbox.com website taxonomy collaborating with product management team and SEO specialist; obtains information on new products from product management team and directly from vendors
    • Manages data feeds to resellers and distributors, ensuring Black Box product content is accurate and resellers/distributors have product information needed for their websites and/or customers
    • Inputs/manages product information in the PIM and maintains existing product information, including any translations for selected languages
    • Assists in optimization of the Product Information Management (PIM) system.
    • Supports international expansion of the PIM
    • Responsible for communications with global stakeholders on changes in product portfolio

    Skills, Knowledge, Abilities

    • Understanding of web technologies and product information principles
    • Ability to work in a fast paced, cross-functional team to define product data needs and implement
    • Ability to manage multiple projects to meet team expectations and timelines
    • Ability to manage and organize large amounts of data; high attention to detail
    • Strong organizational and communication skills required
    • Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge
    • Prior experience working with product channel solutions a plus (Channel Online, CNET, others).


    Education/Experience Requirements

    • 3+ years professional experience in a marketing, data management role preferably in a technology environment
    • Experience working with product information systems (PIM)
    • Experience with ERP system. MS Dynamics AX a plus
    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or related industry experience preferred.
    • English language proficiency, both written and verbal, is essential. Other language skills preferred but not essential.
