The candidate will be part of a team that is responsible for ensuring that tools utilized to operate and maintain the Sandia Networks are available for use. Under minimal supervision applies technical and operational knowledge to perform System Administrator duties, maintaining and supporting multiple network server/applications.
In this position the candidate will be part of a team that is responsible for ensuring that tools utilized to operate and maintain the Sandia networks are available for use. The candidate will perform System Administrator duties (i.e. install software patches, security updates, operating system upgrades, server builds, security configurations etc.) while maintaining and supporting multiple network server/applications in the Network Tools Suite to include:
Maintain applications and licensing. Manage user and client accounts for applications and servers. Manage user access for network devices. Troubleshoot and resolve server and application troubles locally or coordinate with server and applications manufacturer technical support to assist in the resolution of trouble. Gather network availability metrics. Obtain Classified Network Application Request System (CNARS) approval.
The successful candidate shall have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience providing technical IT support in a corporate setting. Candidate must understand IT Service Management and delivery within industry best practices framework such as ITIL.
