    Tyto Athene is seeking a qualified Logistician II with extensive experience supporting IT Managed Services programs for Federal Government Agencies, including, but not limited to the Department of Defense and/or Department of Energy.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities: 

    The Logistician II is responsible for providing technical expertise in support of the following: Analyzing Engineering/Systems Management Data, and Developing Logistics Plans and Procedures; defense life-cycle (acquisition) logistics support of electronic systems and logistics principles, practices, and processes; C4ISR systems. Tasks include:

    • Provide procurement support to include update/maintenance of project Bill of Materials, identification/notification of hardware/software end-of-sale and end-of-life, and obtaining necessary customer approvals for system procurements
    • Provide configuration management support by documenting/updating hardware and software baselines
    • Conduct configuration management reviews and maintain configuration management documents throughout the product lifecycle
    • Manage tracking and conduct receipt of incoming material shipments
    • Prepare outgoing material shipments and manage tracking/coordinate delivery of outgoing shipments
    • Collect/track component serial number data
    • Develop, install, and track Item Unique Identification data  

    Qualifications

    Experience / Qualifications:

    • Three (3) years of experience in defense life-cycle (acquisition) logistics support of electronic systems, to include: logistics principles, practices, and processes.
    • One (1) year of experience in support of C4ISR systems. Demonstrated skills, to include: Analyzing Engineering/Systems Management Data, and Developing Logistics Plans and Procedures.
    • Familiarity with the Navy’s Shore Installation Process Handbook V4 and NAVNETWARCOM Instruction 12271.1 not required but preferred
    • Familiarity with development, installation, and upload DoD Item Unique Identification label information

    Note: Experience may be concurrent.

    • A valid driver’s license is required
    • Active Secret Clearance
    • Must be a US Citizen with a valid US Passport
    • Must be willing to travel (less than 10%) in the Continental United States (CONUS) or Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS);

    Education / Certifications:  Bachelor’s degree. Working towards Professional Logistics Certification – i.e., Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) in Lifecycle [Acquisition] Logistics Level 1, or have equivalent logistics training (resume to specify all equivalent training), or possess an additional one (1) year working in direct support of defense life-cycle logistics.
