    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities

    • Performs LAN/WAN design and implementation support and deployment of network and security technologies. Installs, configures, and operates networks in highly complex environments
    • Provides technical knowledge to include applications, operating systems, physical security, networks, risk assessment and critical infrastructure continuity. 
    • Provides expert consulting assistance to project team members during system design, installation and configuration of networking equipment at customer sites
    • Provides leadership on networking aspects of projects while adhering to project management requirements.
    • Provides advanced support in the resolution of complex application and performance problems of network systems.
    • Participates in the evaluation and implementation of system software and hardware.
    • Providing technical support/ maintenance. Diagnose and resolve network problems.

    Qualifications

    Skills, Knowledge, Abilities

    • Ability to apply knowledge to high level analysis, design, integration, documentation and implementation
    • Capable of evaluating Network Systems Installation IAW DoD Standards
    • Strong knowledge in the application of current and emerging network software and hardware technology and protocols.
    • Ability to manage ambiguity and complexity well, easily rank priorities and solve complex issues and problems in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of network monitoring and management systems, Virtual Private Network (VPNs) and firewalls.
    • Ability to install and configure secure WAN optimization and acceleration equipment; Dynamic Multipoint VPN (DMVPN), routers, switches, and firewalls.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of the organization.

     

    Education/Experience\Certification Requirements

    • Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering or related discipline or in lieu of a degree minimum of seven years of experience in network systems integration
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) required, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) preferred

     

    U.S. Citizenship and active secret security clearance required.
