  • Overview

    The Distribution Center Associate provides warehouse support to meet operational needs by shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.  Ensure availability of critical parts and help maintain integrity of the distribution process in support of the company's financial goals.



    • Receive all incoming inventory and verify against documentation such as purchase orders, packing slips, etc.  Record items into designated inventory tracking system and distribute all materials received.
    • Receive requests for product from internal source.  Monitor and fill request from inventory or place new order through purchasing department.
    • Verify physical inventory for purchase orders or Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) and communicate discrepancies to Customer Service or Purchasing.
    • Communicate with project managers regarding installation projects, material accuracy and shipment location. 
    • Responsible for the overall safety condition and organization of the warehouse, loading and staging areas.  Follow proper security measures to protect warehouse inventory, materials and equipment.
    • Responsible for related material reports and documentation to ensure accurate order and inventory status.  Maintain warranty database for accurate fulfillment of sales orders.
    • Prepares packs, cartons, or pallets for shipment and process through most economical and efficient shipping method in accordance with relevant guidelines which may include U.S. Export laws.
    • Perform cycle counts on a regularly scheduled basis to ensure inventory level accuracy and control. Reconcile return to vendor transactions; communicate discrepancies to customer service or purchasing department.
    • May assist with facility, equipment, and vehicle maintenance, as needed.
    • May stage product for field use by pre-assembling or kitting parts prior to shipment.
    • May lead distribution center associates within assigned group.


    • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent designation
    • Relevant work experience 1-3 years
    • Knowledge of warehousing, purchasing and logistics processes; strong understanding of inventory tracking systems and other relevant computer applications.
    • Good communication and organizational skills
    • Knowledge of industry related products and systems. (UPS/Fedex Solomon)
    • Good analytical and decision making skills
    • Familiar with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations
    • Good mechanical skills
    • Ability to climb ladders; ability to lift over 50 pounds




    Tow Motor or Forklift Certification
