    The Distribution Center Associate performs a variety of tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment to meet operational needs.  Position is full time, contract to hire; standard hours are Mon-Fri 6:00 am to 2:30 pm; potential for some overtime periodically.

    • Receive all incoming inventory and verify against documentation such as purchase orders, packing slips, etc.; record items into designated inventory tracking system and place inventory in proper location.
    • Pick, pack, audit,  and process shipments through most economical and efficient shipping method in accordance with relevant guidelines which may include U.S. Export laws.
    • Receive requests for product from internal source.  Monitor and fill request from inventory or place new order through purchasing department.
    • Responsible for related material reports and documentation to ensure accurate order and inventory status. 
    • Responsible for the overall safety condition and organization of the warehouse, loading and staging areas.  Follow proper security measures to protect warehouse inventory, materials and equipment.
    • Assist with cycle counts on a regularly scheduled basis to ensure inventory level accuracy and control.  Reconcile return to vendor transactions; communicate discrepancies to customer service or purchasing department.
    • May select and move materials and equipment from the warehouse based on scheduling plans and sales orders.
    • May stage product for field use by pre-assembling or kitting parts prior to shipment.
    • Use of Forklifts such as sit down, reach, and pick


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

    Knowledge of warehousing, purchasing and logistics processes

    Working knowledge of inventory tracking systems and other relevant computer applications

    Good communication and organizational skills

    Familiar with industry related products and systems

    Familiar with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations

    Proven strong work ethic with exemplary attendance record


    Education & Experience Requirements: 

    High-school Diploma/GED or equivalent designation

    1-3 years warehouse experience

    Forklift or tow motor certification required


    Physical Demands:

    Ability to climb ladders

    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
