  • Overview

    The Network Engineer:

    • Will have at minimum a valid CCNA certification
    • Possesses strong leadership; technical; and written/verbal communications skills
    • Be forward thinking
    • Strong ability to multi-task; and prioritize work activities.
    • Be able to communicate effectively to all support teams, Client, and End Client.
    • Overcome language barriers.
    • Effectively manage his/her time
    • Supports/Maintains infrastructure to end client's datacenters, communication centers, plant locations, and campus network buildings 
    • Creates network documentation.
    • Take ownership and is personally accountable for his/her daily on-site activities.

    Position Details:

    • This a salaried position
    • Standard hours are Mon-Fri 8am-5pm; however, there will be some required after hours and weekend work, which may or may not be planned.
    • Travel to various campus locations in and around the Greater Atlanta area is required. Will be reimbursed for mileage.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain datacenters, communication centers and plant locations and campus network buildings in the Metro Atlanta area; which include STG, AOC TCP, CCP buildings for ongoing projects, core network, MDF to IDF routing and switch uplinks, configuration and turn up.
      Responsible for Network Operations Support for the Atlanta regions end client's campus and warehouses.
    • Responsible for network infrastructure site deployments and Cisco decommissions.
    • Provides on-site support for Client NOC & operations management on ENCS
    • Deployments and transformation project.
    • Responsible for platform upgrades along with policy push and system health checks including Checkpoint, Fortinet, Cisco ASA and Palo Alto.
    • Daily responsibility for completing/updating service requests and Incident troubleshooting in ServiceNow ticketing system.

    Qualifications

    Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

    • Networking
    • Configuring and Troubleshooting of Routers and Switches
    • Good understanding of OSI model and TCP/IP Protocol suite
    • Routing Protocols - BGP, EIGRP, OSPF
    • Knowledge of Layer 2 Technologies - VLAN, Trunks, VTP, STP, RSTP, MST, Port-Security, Port Channel
    • HSRP, GLBP, VRRP
    • VPN - site-to-site, remote, client
    • NAT configuration
    • Troubleshooting Network Connectivity
    • Implementing Network Security and Policies
    • Configuring Firewalls and ACL's
    • IP addressing and sub-netting
    • Proficiency with MS Suite products

    Education/Experience Requirements: 

    • Associate or Bachelors Degree in a technology services/technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
    • Valid Certified Cisco Engineering Certification (i.e. CCNA or CCNP)
    • 3-5 years relevant experience
    • Familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow (preferred)
